« Back to Grade Levels
The fourth grade teachers are
concerned with the formation of the total child: Mind,
Body, and Spirit. Our faculty is diverse in personality
and united in principles. We practice the art of working,
playing and praying together.
We are dedicated to maintaining an environment that is
conducive to instilling an authentic self-esteem which
comes through perseverance and achievement. We believe in
the adage, "nothing succeeds like success."
It is our goal to develop in our students the
indispensable quality of a positive work ethic. The
students work on mastering the skills necessary for
success in the world in a collaborative setting. It is our
privilege to serve the students as they find success.
We work hard, play hard, and pray hard. We encourage the
children to find God through their union with Him in
working, playing, and praying.
Skills for Success
- Regularly
check the work your child brings home and what is
handed in for homework. This will give you an idea of
the skills being introduced and what is expected of
your child in class.
- Urge
your child to re-read and re-check work before handing
it in. Check for spelling and neatness of work.
- Plan
and schedule a study time daily.
- Encourage
your child to study a little every day rather than
waiting to cram large amounts all at once.
- Stress
the importance of paying attention in class. Valuable
information may be missed otherwise.
- Regularly
check your child’s school supplies to be sure
everything needed is brought to class.
- If
your child is absent, call the school office to
request the missed work. The work will be ready for
you to pick up in the cubbies after school.
- Assignment
procedure: homework is written on the board in all
classes. The students are given enough time to copy
the assignments into their assignment book; please
check it nightly.
